A no-compromise trials bike for youngsters, the Lite Kid is built around the same components as found in other entry level Echo bikes. The bike is equipped with two disc brakes - either hydraulic Echo TR disc brakes or cable Avid BB5 brakes with FR levers and Jagwire cables. Aplined Echo TR freewheel with 108 engagement points mated to ISIS cranks and Echo's returning splined rear hub offer a responsive drivetrain. Grip is taken care of by a pair of super-sticky Creepy Crawler tyres from Maxxis.
The Echo Lite Kid is a trials bike for youngsters from 130-160cm tall. Updating the stem with a taller and longer model will prolong the use of this bike. The geometry mimicks a scaled down 26" bike and thanks to a low BB rise will aid balance. Short chainstays and a lighter gear ratio mean less strength is required to backhop and pedal-kick than a standard 20" trials bike.
